Delete Your Account

You are in control. You can delete your Owambe Meter account yourself whenever you like. This page explains how, what disappears straight away, and the small amount of information we are legally required to keep.
1. How to delete your account
- Sign in, then open Me (your profile).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will happen, type DELETE to confirm, and tap the button.
This is permanent
There is no waiting period and no way to undo it. Once you confirm, we cannot bring your account, posts, messages or Spray Notes back. If you might want any of your information first, see “Getting a copy first” below.
2. What is removed straight away
As soon as you confirm, we delete:
- your profile: name, @username, bio, profile photo, and the link to your Google, Telegram or email sign-in;
- all your posts, together with every comment, like and vote they received;
- the photo and video files themselves. They are removed from our storage and from our delivery network, and the delivery network is told to discard its copies. Original files you uploaded and any profile photos are deleted too;
- your comments, likes, votes, follows and reports on other people’s posts;
- your messages, in both directions. The conversation disappears for the other person as well;
- your activity history, any pending sign-in codes, and your membership records; and
- your session. You are signed out everywhere immediately.
3. What we keep, and why
Accounts that have never used Spray Notes are erased completely, down to the account record itself.
If you have sent or received Spray Notes, the law and sound accounting require us to keep a record of those movements. So that the record stays accurate, we keep a blank shell of your account with none of your personal information: no name, username, bio, photo, email or sign-in link. It is shown only as “Deleted user”. Any post of yours that received a spray stays as an empty entry, with its caption and media removed, because the accounting record points to it.

4. What we cannot undo
- Copies other people made, such as screenshots or downloads, and previews that other apps saved when someone shared a link. We cannot reach those. Links you shared will stop working.
- Scores already counted. Votes you cast changed other looks’ overall scores. Those scores are not recalculated, and they contain no information about you.
- Your Google or Telegram account is yours, not ours, so it is not deleted. You can also remove Owambe Meter’s access in your Google account’s security settings or in Telegram.
5. If you come back
You are welcome to join again. Signing in again with the same Google, Telegram or email creates a brand-new, empty account. Nothing from your old account returns, including Spray Notes and scores.
6. If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@owambemeter.com from the email address linked to the account (or tell us which Google or Telegram account you used). We will confirm it is you, and then delete the account and reply within 30 days.
7. Getting a copy first
You can ask for a copy of your information, such as your profile, posts, comments and Spray Notes history, before you delete. Email privacy@owambemeter.com and we will send it within 30 days. Save your own photos and videos from your device before deleting, because we cannot restore them afterwards.
